A week ago today schools from around the state convened for the annual ASCA conference that was held in Tuscaloosa, AL. Students experience a softball game between UA and LSU, heard dynamic speakers, and shared ideas with fellow leaders from all over.
White Plains High served as the President School for 2016-2017 and planned a spectacular conference based around the theme of "Unleash you Super-Leader"! Reynolds Wolfe, Harriet Turk, and Cedric Sparks all geared their thoughts towards unlocking and appreciating the leader within. Students were intrigued and inspired.
Also, while at conference a new board was elected for the 2017-2018 conference year. Selected as President School, Baldwin County High will replace White Plains and take the lead on planning next year's conference.
There are great things in store for ASCA! This is sure to be an exciting year!
